At the AGM on 18th April 2017, Mary Sandeman stepped down as the Chair of the Gaelic Language Promotion Trust following a 25-year tenure. Bill Innes stepped down from the position of Vice-Chair at the same meeting. The Trust is delighted that they have both agreed to maintain their roles as Trustees.
Following the AGM, Trustees showed their appreciation to Mary and Bill for their years of service and support by presenting them with individual gifts. Mary received a Luckenbooth brooch while Bill was presented with fine malt whisky.
Alasdair Gillies was unanimously voted in as Chair of the Trust while Margaret MacLeod Nicolson will assume the role of Vice Chair.
