Urras Brosnachaidh na Gàidhlig / The Gaelic Language Promotion Trust was established to encourage and promote the teaching, learning and use of the Gaelic language throughout Scotland.
We have historically provided grants to students of Gaelic at diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels, particularly those who are aiming to work in Gaelic Medium Education.
The Trust has also provided funding for Gaelic-language publications and youth drama projects. The expansion of the Trust’s funding portfolio provides an opportunity to extend the range and nature of grant funding that is available to support and promote the use of the Gaelic language.
More information on our funding guidelines and details on applying for grants can be found here.
